How many miles a day can a horse go? PCT thru-hikers routinely do 20 miles a day and it seems like you'de have to do that in order to finish up in 5 months or whatever

I hiked up to Old Snowy in Goat Rocks last summer and saw where horses are supposed to go. That seemed an unwise spot for a horse to go.
