Multnomah Falls Paved trail hanging in the air?
Multnomah Falls Paved trail hanging in the air?
Received a report that 30 feet west and up past junction of trail with 400 trail (first switchback?), the paved trail is hanging out with nothing underneath. I can't travel to the area to confirm.
Well Jim, where to next?

I passed on your concern to the USFS manager at the Multnomah Falls Visitor Center.
Hopefully some takes a look this morning.

I was there this morning and didn't notice anything amiss in that area, although things were snow covered. Maybe the damage was hidden.
I can at least attest that they haven't closed the trail.

We have been told that volunteers can only advise people that there are hazardous conditions and almost impossible to close a trail. Use common sense and CRGNSA hired 2 seasonals this winter for trail work. Nathaniel Brody is currently on detail as the PAO for region 6.
