Road Closures, Rock Creek & Larch Mtn

Post by JZwing » June 15th, 2023, 2:28 pm

Road CG-2000/Red Bluff Road is closed about 4 miles in. Sedum Ridge, Three Corner Rock and Snag Creek are not accessible from the SR 14 direction:

"Recreation alert: Stevenson’s CG 2000 – the CG-2000 Road will be closed for the replacement of the Steep Creek Bridge from Monday, May 8, until September 5, 2023. The approximate closure will be between mile post 4 and mile post 6.5."

"Recreation alert: Three Corner Rock Trail is closed indefinitely due to forest management activities in the area. Updates will be posted as they occur."

The Yacolt Forest site says there's a way from the other direction: "From Washougal River Road, at the end of a country road, turn right at Y onto the W-2000 along the Washougal River for 3.3 miles (to closed Three-Corner Rock). Trailhead on the left. Get directions."

Also, The Larch Mountain Road is closed for 2023 for repair and repaving.

I read on here recently about Larch Mountain but it bears repeating as a popular area.

Also in SW WA just saw that there is a landslip on FR25 east of MSH, meaning that Windy Ridge will only be accessible from the north this summer. It just compounds on the SR 504 mess.
