Washout on road to Rainy Lake

There's a not insignificant wash out on Dead Point Rd (Rd 2820) about a mile or so before Rainy Lake CG, between the upper Mt Defiance TH and the Rainy Lake CG turn-off. I went through in an Outback with A/T tires but not without careful consideration. Someone posted elsewhere (Alltrails?) that they did not feel comfortable going through in their Outback.

There's a smaller less problematic washout immediately before the big one - I suggest stopping before the small one to check out the bigger one on foot. If you drive through the first one then decide not to go through the second larger one, there's no room to turn around, so you'd have to back up through the first wash out. That may be a bit stressful depending on one's backing up skills.

On the other hand, the Rainy-Wahtum trail and Anthill trail between Rainy CG and Wahtum Lake are in excellent shape! There are zero blowdowns and lots of evidence of freshly cut downed trees, so thanks trail crews!

Google Maps shows two Rainy Lake Campground on that road. Presumably the one that's near a lake is the real one.

Yes, there's definitely not a campground on the one labeled to the east. The lake is where it's at!
