Going to Devils Peak Lookout soon (what does it need?)

I'll be going with a few other friends and staying a couple nights at the lookout. Anyone been up there recently? Could it use any basic repair, certain supplies, etc?

I think the whole area is closed because of cougar, but should open back up soon

Yeah, any of the trails that you would hike to get up there are closed now:

I've heard that volunteers keep that lookout maintained and in working order, but I believe it's extremely informal. The staff at the Zigzag Ranger Station might know who they are and be able to put you in contact with them. I don't know if the volunteers do anything besides structural maintenance/repair. I think any supplies and gear you find in there might be from other hikers.

Looks like they killed a cougar the other day in the vicinity of the attack. If they drop the closure by next week, I'll be going up there.

they said they would get results in three days, which would be about today
