Trees down on Dog Mt. or Augspurger?

Post by Ryan Ojerio » November 18th, 2015, 9:40 am

Hi Folks,

I've got some volunteers going to Dog Mt. tomorrow (Thursday) and again on Dec. 5th. Does anyone know if the recent winds brought down any new trees? If so could you reply to me with their approximate size and location?

I scouted last Saturday and found a handful of small trees down, but those look like they'd been down for a while. We also plan to clean water bars on the lower 1/2 mile and send a crew to clear brush from the wooded section near the top.

- Thanks, Ryan

We were up there on the 9th and did the 'less difficult' trail to the summit and the Aug trail down and didn't notice any problems but after yesterday's storm, all bets are off, I think. :x
