Jim Bob and Billy Jo needed a place to dump the remnants of their meth-lab that blew up, so they loaded it up in the truck and decided to git-ter-dun "up on the hill". Friggin losers.

The thinking in closing and ripping up Wildcat Mountain Quarry was that a normal trailhead (the new Douglas Trailhead) would not be nearly as cool a place to shoot, dump trash and act stupid.

If you quit using the new trailhead then all the people still trashing the place win. Douglas TH also gives you access to McIntyre, Wildcat, Plaza, Douglas and Eagle #501 trails in the Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness, a great place to spend some time.
