Yocum Ridge Tr. log hop

We were up on Yocum Ridge the other day where we counted over 25 logs down across the trail between the trailhead and the viewpoint. There were about 4 more up above. The size of the logs varied, but most ranged between 12” and 24", with a couple up to 3 ft. in diameter.

Mazamas are scheduled to log this trail out on Aug 15. 25+ logs may be challenging but we tackled 17 on the Mazama trail two weeks ago, may have to step up our game!

wow! I didn't know anyone ever maintained that trail. Thanks.

How about that huge log about 1 mile up the trail? That should be interesting.
