TKO/PCTA Project - Devils Rest (Nov 15 2008)

What a glorious day to be out doing trail work. We had a TKO/PCTA crew of 11 volunteers working around Devils Rest mostly on the Foxglove Trail, Foxglove Way, and the connector between Angels Rest and Wahkeena. We ran 4 brush cutters and backed the thorny devils club and spiny salmon berry back 5 feet from either side of the trail. We had one sawyer clear back the bigger logs. Lots of people worked the grubbing tools and improved drainages and patched up muddy spots. Thanks to everyone who helped out.

What a great report and photos Roberta! I recognized at least half of your crew, sorry I missed the fun and rewarding work that day - many TKO folks were sequestered in an all day meeting Saturday - but we had a great day as well. Boy, you guys tackled the quite tangled parts of those trails - thanks so much for your hard work!
