Pop quiz.. what's the flower in the last pic?
Now that I don't have a yard and a hedge for it to bind to, I think of it as a wildflower and not a weed.

It's a morning glory or a bindweed.

Looks like Morning Glory

I have had war with them in the past.

I won!

Still probably the best sunset I've ever witnessed....way way way back in 98 from Timberline Lodge; shot this one on 25 speed film, and I didn't know what I was doing so it's a little blurry...back then I blindly shot everything on F22 resulting in LONG unneeded shutterspeeds (canon rebel g and 75-300 plastic fantastic lens!):

These are shot from a bluff that has a cell tower on it up the Hillock burn area of Mt. Hood Ntl. Forest. Some of the old timers may know the area back when it had a fire tower on it, and not fancy technology towers!

Mt Rainier? Not 100% on this one but think so.

Ah, Goat Mountain... love it... a little pocket wilderness that had the misfortune of being a bit too far west for it's own good, and thus a radio site. I believe one of the towers there is (or was) the relocated lookout structure from Frog Lake Butte. I think that's probably Adams in the photo, too - just judging by the position compared to Larch Mountain.

KimLizzie, is that view from somewhere around Silver Star?

I am not so great with my Washington mountain geography. On the left side of that picture you can see just the bottom of St. Helens.

When I was out in Colorado I did a bit of hiking in and around the Fort Collins area. This was at the top of the Horsetooth Reservoir.
