gmap4 link test

Post by BurnsideBob » October 3rd, 2014, 11:36 am

Looks like the board software truncated the map link so that the waypoint info did not carry thru onto the map. Cutting and pasting the whole link gets a 404 error message. This is irritating as I tested the link in the post preview and the correct map with way points loaded. Assuming the map link below is not truncated, you will need to cut and paste the whole thing into a new browser window less the tags.

It looks like your link has some HTML embedded in it because it has em and br tags. I'm not sure how that happened.

Here is a long link that works:

Hi Dan:

Sounds like I'm doing something wrong. The URL I'm using with those br and em tags is generated by Gmap4--I make my map, then select "link to this map" on the menu list, and copy the link when it appears in the box titled "Link to the map on screen."

So to post a Gmap4 map to PH so that it auto loads as in your reply, what should I do?

Thanks for your prompt reply and help.
