I've been using http but I am switching to https to see if it helps.

Re: Site not remembering me
are you using http or https?
Re: Site not remembering me
Happens to me every time I post for the first time that session. Sometimes if I post a second time soon after it might not happen. But it happens without fail the first time I log in and want to post. Http for me, and it never happens for editing an existing post of mine.

Re: Site not remembering me
I finally give up. I successfully went to the front page, clicked unread posts and I was logged out.
I'm accepting I have to always sign in.
For the techies out there, I'm using Google Chrome.

Waffle Stomper, I think switching to https helped me. "Unread posts" seem to work now without logging me out. If the success is short lived I'll let you know.

How do I do that? I was thinking that is something that is done on the administrators side.

Re: Site not remembering me
Insert "https://" before the regular "www.oregonhikers.org/forum/search.php?s ... nreadposts"
I've been using http and haven't had a problem so that likely won't help, but it's a good experiment that might provide useful information

Re: Site not remembering me
For the record, like Jerry I am not having the same problems others have described. For the Forums, I have http addresses on a Mac, Safari or Firefox as browsers. Thanks for working on this, Dan!
