Hi All,
I have never tried to post a picture on this site before, but am trying now.
When I click Browe, then Add the File, I get the following error message...
"413 Request Entity Too Large"
The pic is around 4MB or so.
How can I make the picture smaller to add it to a post??
I tried compressing it to a zip file, but that didn't work.
Thanks

If you open 'paint' in windows, open your picture with it, go to resize and shrink it, then save. I don't know what the biggest allowable file size is on PH's tho.

I use a free program called Irfanview - makes it really easy to resize photos. you can do one at a time or in batch.
To resize the photo, you open the photo, choose Image/Resize/Resample and then choose whatever size you want. For posting on most places, 800x600 or 1024x768 is a good standard size. If you choose the "Preserve Aspect Ratio" option, it will resize and keep the proper proportions.

Another free one I recommend to anyone with a camera using Windows...
