How do I send a photo in a PM?

I can't find any way to send a photo in a PM.
When I click the IMG button, nothing happens when I put the image between the parentheses.

Images are allowed in PMs, you just can't upload attachments. I'm assuming you are linking an image already on the web. Are you sure the link was correct?

If it's off your hard drive, you can't link to it in a PM. You would have to upload it somewhere first.

Might be easier to just get the email of the recipient.
