Access to "Trail Log" data

I'm not sure how editors actually create "hikes" with their associate "trail logs", but for trip planning it would be great to be able to setup custom trail log routes or at a minimum be able to just lookup a trail with all the mileage/elevation information for directly. I can see portions of trails via hikes, but that is not very affective for exploring new options.

Do you know if there is a way for a normal member to access the trail log database? Is there any other way to access trail logs?

Trail logs are manually created - no data base that they're drawn from

If there's any consistency between hikes, it's because a human made it so

Jerry's correct. the logs are all manual work.

On the plus side there are several areas with log pages all in one place.
Search the Field Guide for "Trails" and you'll get a list.

Cool, good to know... but I assume by your user name you are retired now? So you have all the time to hike as much as you like
