Well the guy who got banned from the site was "gorgehiking" (no s)...

Dan, can you systems folks find out if it's the same person? Does he have the same IP address, or the the same email address, as the one who was banned?

On the forum I help moderate, we urge that PMs be reported to the mods if they are abusive. I hope this wasn't the case here!

EDIT, LATER: Possibly best handled by PM between Dan and geographics, since nobody else has reported anything? I hope nothing is amiss and that the name similarity is pure coincidence!

email or IP should be easy enough for an admin to check, they can ban based off either of those, as well.

I'm with granny, I hope this wasn't abusive, but I'm guessing there had to be something weird enough to get you to ask about it..

Honestly I don't remember how this board is set up, and I'm too lazy to log out and test it.. But many forums don't allow unregistered / unlogged in people to view attachments in threads, so that's a reason to register even if you never intend on posting.

Glad to hear it was just 'odd' and not necessarily bad
