In the Field Guide, external links (including links to this forum) are displayed with a "lock" icon if their URL begins with "https" — which is MOST web sites these days.
This is weird; to someone browsing the site, it makes it look like those pages are password-protected or behind a paywall or something.
Is it possible to adjust the Field Guide's code/skin so that https links use the same little blue Wikipedia-style link icons () that http links currently use? It'd just be a matter of replacing "lock_icon.gif" with "external.png".

I don't have access (or the knowledge) but will see if I can find someone who does.
