I used to do trail logs but I quit doing them, too much work, not enough value
I think maybe that's a Steve from Dodge thing. I don't think he is doing field guide stuff anymore.
There's probably some better way to do it, like a map with a line where the trail is and icons where the points are. This would be a huge project though.
I just sort of ignore trail logs now. I might fix errors. Just my opinion.

Yes, I believe so - not that I'm an expert in the bowels of the FG. A couple of times a user has asked me to correct inaccuracies, but in my own opinion, this is an expendable feature.adamschneider wrote: ↑November 14th, 2019, 10:13 pmSo there ISN'T a "master" log for each trail? They're just created individually for each page?
Thanks for creating that junction page!

Re: Photos needed for the Field Guide
I wonder if we should just... "expend" them, then, in case they're full of mistakes that we don't want to have to double-check?

I'm not a fan of that item although some people put a lot of effort into them. Not sure how to delete a whole line item (more of them are blank as opposed to linked to an actual trail log) - must be on a master for the hike pages somewhere. It would still leave the remaining trip report pages online but disconnected.
