Photos needed for the Field Guide

Here's a link to a list of pages in the Field Guide that need photos. There are probably others as well that the page authors haven't designated as [[Needs pics]].

If you want to contribute a photo, you can post it here or PM me. Let me know the name you want as a photo credit.

Many thanks!

A question about "Timberline-Cloud Cap Trail Junction": Is that actually the FORMER junction of the Timberline Trail and the Cloud Cap spur? Because there isn't really a spur anymore; since the re-route to the north below Cloud Cap, the TL Trail goes pretty much right through the campground.

But there IS a trail junction (photo attached) where the Timberline Trail meets the signed boot path along the East Moraine of Eliot Glacier.

EDIT: I think I answered my own question... I guess we do mean the "junction" right there in the campground; the Wandering Yuncks have a photo of it here: https://wanderingyuncks.wordpress.com/2 ... 8-17-2019/

(But maybe we ought to make another page for that East Moraine junction?)

Many thanks, Adam and Karl! It all helps!

Adam, I think I'll delete the campground junction but we can create the East Moraine Junction (which I think goes with the Eliot Moraine Hike).

Meh, we could keep the lower junction. It is a waypoint on the Timberline Trail, after all. And I checked... there's a LITTLE bit of a spur: about 200 feet from the road to the TL Trail.

Found another, though I doubt it's still there...

I created a page for the Eliot East Moraine junction: https://www.oregonhikers.org/field_guid ... e_Junction

...But I don't know how to edit the "trail log" for the Timberline Trail. Is that kept in a master file somewhere, where the other hike logs can access it? (And some of the numbers on it don't look quite right. For example, it's a lot more than 0.3 miles from Cloud Cap to the new Eliot Crossing.)

You should be able to edit it directly through Edit mode. I don't bother with trail logs, though, and don't make them myself. They're incredibly time-consuming and there are changes all the time that we haven't kept up with.

So there ISN'T a "master" log for each trail? They're just created individually for each page?
