Bloom Lake Hike landslide

I went on the Bloom Lake Hike today (https://www.oregonhikers.org/field_guid ... _Lake_Hike). Instead of going counterclockwise around the lake, as the field guide suggests, we went clockwise. This turned out to be a good idea because there is a landslide, which appears to be new, at the SW corner of the lake, before the Bloom Lake trail hits August Fire Road.

The snow on the ground was 6"+ deep, and we decided not to try to find a way around the landslide. At first glance, it looks like it might not be too difficult to go around on the left side, at least in winter. It's also possible that we were off the actual trail due to the snow, but I don't think that's the case, since we were following tracks in the snow laid by others and our GPS log matches the trail on the USGS topo map.

Here's a picture of the slide area taken from the trail. This is taken from where the red track line ends on the left in the second image.

Thanks for the update. It looks like users will probably beat a path around that after the snow melts off, but I'll put a caution in the Field Guide.
