Idiot Creek Hike

Post by LakeOHiker » November 3rd, 2018, 1:46 pm

RE: Elk Creek to Idiotville Rd. Hike
FYI, the bridge is only temporary during the summer months. They remove it around October and put it back in around May. I talked with Randy at the Tillamook Forest Office in Forest Grove and those are the approximate dates he gave me. I tried to hike in early October and the creek was too high to ford without getting wet and the rocks were slippery.

Thanks, Becky. I will note that in the Field Guide.

Darned right those rocks are slippery. I couldn't even distinguish them from spawning coho, one of which thrashed under my foot and dumped me in the stream (a few years back)!
