Misleading information, Silver Star Mountain page

The last sentence reads:
“This author has made the trek on a half dozen occasions with nothing but a low clearance passenger car, and had few problems (had to navigate around some large pot holes in places!)”

My wife and I tried to reach Silver Star Mountain trailhead on 6/17 and turned back, due to very deep rutting at the beginning of Road 4109. We later talked to a couple in a 4WD Subaru who also turned back (we were in a Civic).

These ruts are nicely noted on the Silver Star Mountain Trailhead page. It would be great if someone could fix the Silver Star Mountain page too. Maybe the correction could note a good approach for a hiker in a low clearance passenger car.

Thanks,

Sapo

P.S. I am a newbie who has appreciated this site for years.

the road to the grouse vista trailhead is fine in passenger car.

the north trailhead (forget the name) is the one that is difficult to access.

Thanks Sapo for the heads-up. You're right that approach to the North trailhead has really regressed over the past few years. We'll have to get that updated. Sorry you ended up having to turn back :( That paragraph was intended to refer to the approach from the South (Grouse Vista) but re-reading that today it really misleading.
