Swampy Meadows trailhead on Mt Adams

Post by drm » December 3rd, 2008, 9:28 am

As far as I know, this is generally referred to as the Williams Mine trailhead. Williams Mine is just to the south. That's what the Trout Lake rangers office called it.

And road 23 has now been fixed, so that warning should now be removed.

Thanks, I fixed the field guide

I wonder why it's called the Williams Mine Trailhead? There must be a nearby mine

My map shows the actual Williams Mine to be about a half mile south of the trailhead; accessed via gated roads 531 and 759 (which branch off of Road 23 farther south).
