never mind, they're all taken

still, this may be useful information to anyone looking for a vaccine

check frequently and if it becomes available you got to act quick

I heard the Bi-Mart here in The Dalles had some of the J&J vaccine but all the doses were spoken for within an hour of word getting out

the other way to get vaccine is
https://getvaccinated.oregon.gov/#/

I signed up, gave my email address, specify get notification by email

Supposedly, they'll email me with an appointment when they're available

If this works, this would be much better. No waiting for some vaccines to become available, and then jumping before they're quickly gone.

I think you can make an appointment here

https://ohsu.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form ... IO7heV9OoC

if you check occasionally you can find appointment times that are actually open

either at the airport or at the Hillsboro stadium

The Portland Airport vaccination site is reserved for those with mobility issues. If you are able to hike, you should not be taking appointment times from those who can't.

oh, thanks

everything about covid vaccines is confusing

I looked at the link and they said senior citizens were also allowed. And that it's best for people with disabilities.

"they" say that when it's your turn, get whatever vaccine's available. I'm not going to judge anyone for going to the airport or Hillsboro. Maybe we should wait a bit to make sure any disabled people can get it

It's certainly true that the more people who get vaccinated, the better off the "herd" becomes, so there is no downside to moving vaccine into the community. It's also true that waiting one's turn and letting prioritized groups have their chance first will lower death rates and speed the return to normally functioning society - that's why those groups were prioritized.

what I read on the website was that disabled people, and people over 65 were eligible, at the airport and Hillsboro. But a little unclear about un-disabled people over 65.

"People with mobility issues: The drive-through PDX Airport Red Economy Lot and Hillsboro Stadium sites are best because you don’t have to leave your car."

another thing, they release new appointments at 9AM Monday and Thursday, so try to get appointment then. They go quickly.
