As a mosquito magnet, I would be very
interested in that. Although I wonder if it works if you are moving and possibly not giving it a chance to encircle the body with the scent shield.

I'll believe it when I see it. I heard about this and I was really exited about it. But I've been reading up online about how mosquitoes are attracted to humans and all the various factors that go into it (here's one article). Seems like all the different body types and body chemistries and genetic make-ups can't be accounted for in a one-size-fits-all patch. Who knows, I guess we'll see!

If there is a product that works, it would add at least 4 weeks the backpacking season for me.

One can only hope. I'm a walking target for mosquitoes, so I'll be sure to keep an eye on this.

"The Kite Patch is a little square sticker that emits a cloak of chemical compounds that block a mosquito's ability to sense humans."

My understanding is that this is how all mosquito repellents work.

I guess my question is: what is this new miracle chemical? If it is non-toxic, why put it on a sticker instead of in a spray format like other repellents? (why not put DEET on a sticker?)

Yes Joe. Good points! I'll be curious to read feedback from users.
