This is not the only antibiotic used to treat Lyme disease others are cheap to.So you should not have to take a second on your house if you get Lyme.

whoa! that's crazy.

I just finished up on my second 10-day course of Doxycycline (after getting the second tick bite - I was on antibiotics for 20 days in May). Thankfully I've got health insurance that covers part of the cost of prescriptions.

Holy cow - that's just nuts!! I've been bitten a couple times in the past couple of years - (for the first times ever.) Are those things getting more aggressive? I have a hard time imagining a drug costing that much, no matter what.

This price hike bugged me to I did a little digging. A big drug manufacturer (Wockhardt) in India was banned selling drugs to the US last week from one of its plants. We buy a lot of generics in this country from India. Supply down with already low inventories as Mark would say BAM At least there are other antibiotics out there.

At $3,000 for 500 pills six bucks a pill is not cheap wholesale.
