Columbia Gorge Wildflower

Post by MattC » September 4th, 2008, 3:21 am

On my recent trip to Oregon I saw many species of trees and flowers that we don't have here in the east, along with some other familiar stuff. Some of the western species I learned, others I don't know. Can anyone ID this one for me?

Also, if anyone wants to look through the rest of that Webshots gallery and offer suggestions or comments, please feel free. The first four pics are from Forest Park, while the others are from a Horsetail Falls-Oneota Gorge-Franklin Ridge-Multnomah Falls loop hike with a road walk on the return to my car.

Looks like Fireweed (Epilobium angustifolium)
