Hello everyone, I'm a long-time user of the site and a first time poster in the forums. I joined hoping that someone might be able to ID this plant I've spent all night online trying to identify!
I spotted it at Eagle Creek in the Gorge today. Hanging from an overturned log dangling over a small creek that was flowing into Eagle Creek. The leaves were quite small, maybe 1 cm, and there were no flowers seen on it today. I've attached a few photos here.
Any ideas?
Small, green vine-like plant

Looks like honeysuckle (Lonicera ciliosa).

No, orange honeysuckle's leaves are much bigger than that.bobcat wrote:Looks like honeysuckle (Lonicera ciliosa).

Yep, didn't pay attention to that and what appear to be inflorescences are in the wrong place. My new bet is on black bindweed (Fallopia convolvulus), which is an invasive weed common to farms - I wouldn't expect to find it at Eagle Creek.adamschneider wrote:No, orange honeysuckle's leaves are much bigger than that.
