Oregon Wild announces 4th Annual Outdoor Photography Contest

Capture the beauty of Oregon's wildlands, wildlife, and waters, and you could win over $1,000 in prizes!

Grab your camera, hit the trails, and enter the fourth annual Oregon Wild Outdoor Photo Contest! It's free to enter and open to amateur and professional photographers of all ages. This year, we will award prizes to the best photos in the following categories:
* Wildlands
* Wildlife
* Waters
* Endangered Places

This is definitely worth doing - I've won freebies during the past few years, and they were pretty substantial! Keep in mind that you are giving Oregon Wild permission to use whatever photos you enter for their own organizational need. One of my non-winning photos showed up in a full page ad in Willamette Week last week, minus a photo credit. But generally, they're pretty good about photo credits, and it's for a good cause to help them build their stock image library. It's also cool to see your enlarged prints being auctioned off at the Oregon Wild gala.

BTW, I can't help but comment that the image from Salmon River Meadows (above) has been inverted...
