Portraits with forest & woodland backgrounds

Post by mdvaden » February 15th, 2015, 11:59 pm

Forget if I posted about portraits previously, but I've been trying to learn portraiture the past few years, preferring outdoor, woodland and forest for backdrop. Did a few indoor shoots, but outdoors is my favorite place to go.

My favorite lenses have been the Sigma 85mm 1.4, Canon 85mm 1.2 and Canon 135mm 2.0

Beautiful work! The last portrait is especially nice -- thanks for sharing!

Thank you, Tom

3 years ago, I didn't like taking photos of people at all. That changed with one photo with a person's reflection in a river down in the redwoods. Now I enjoy portraits about the same as nature / landscape shooting.

Changed the shirt color in this one from a red.
