Which photo is better?

Post by Charley » November 20th, 2008, 10:00 pm

I'm making a calendar for a holiday gift for my family, and I'm trying to narrow some of my choices down. Which of these three is the more attractive? I realize that the three shots sort of tell different visual stories, but they're close in feeling, so it's not exactly apples and oranges. Comments welcome. Photos from sunset last night, at Dalton Point in the Gorge. Thanks a bunch!

I agree with Jane.....Photo 3 does it for me. This is a great post Charley! My gift to many family members each year is a calendar. I ponder over photo choices for hours and it never dawned on me to use this forum for help. I may follow your lead :-)

Yeah, when I saw Jamey's "Which do you prefer???" post a while back, the lightbulb in the back of my head went off! What a great idea.

Ditto on #3. I like that it has so much more of the sky, that is what draws me. #1 has a cool sky too, but it doesn't show the fire on the water the same way. Fanastic job, really they are all very beautiful. thanks for sharing.

All great shots, but #3 shows the most light on the water.

#3, more foreground action giving the viewer a place to stand ;)
