soto amicus- fantastic, light stove. only problem is it pisses fuel when connecting and disconnecting to canister. yes, i have the dial turned off. i had a windmaster for a while and it did it, as well. other stove (fire-maple wasp... great stove btw) i have doesn't do this. is this a soto blip or possibly a defective model? thanks

is it just a little spurt or a big spurt?

little spurt is normal

I tried my Windmaster and the MSR PRD. I weighed canister before and after. It lost less than 0.01 ounce. Since I use 1 ounce per day, that would be insignificant

medium. not concerned about amount, just don't know if it's safe. also, i don't like having the fuel blown out onto my hand. i think i'll take it back to REI. it's a great stove, but this pisses me off.

a little spurt is not dangerous - fire or freezing your hand

you could post a video of it spurting, that might make it more clear

all canister stoves have a little spurt when connecting, disconnecting
