Does Ham Radio Work In The Columbia River Gorge Trail Areas?

Is ham radio effective in the Columbia River Gorge trail areas? Like Eagle Creek, Lake Wahtum, Tanner Butte, Benson Plateau?

Well technically they work.... it's not the Bermuda Triangle or anything ;) The question is how far are you looking to reach and what gear are you using?

Hi Lurch! I almost always go backpacking, solo. Thought it might be cool to be able to communicate, for fun and just in case... I know there are repeaters in the area... do those reach, Wahtum Lake, Benson Plateau, Eagle Creek, Herman Creek Trail? Thanks for the response!!
