Cheese sticks that can last several days?
Re: Cheese sticks that can last several days?
String cheese--yuck. I carry Tillamoos. See here and scroll down the the Snack category. They're individually wrapped, last easily as long as any resupply, and being a Tillamook product they're very good. I have to hide them before my trips or my son will gobble them.

Oh good idea! I ate nothing but freeze dried meals and trail mix on my last backpack. It sucked.

I vouch for the longevity of cheese in general. I used to bring only hard cheeses like parmesan for multiday adventures, but lately I've carried cheddar and even soft goat cheeses with no issues. Just keep it well wrapped so that the oil doesn't get on anything if it sweats.
