I'm buying the Platypus Gravityworks 4L system. It looks like just the thing for my needs. I seem to need about twice as much fluid as my fellow hikers, and this should keep me well hydrated.

I went in and looked around today and SO MANY THINGS.

I really want a new bike, and my kid needs a bike, so I could pass my old one to her.

But I'm not sure I can swing that even with the discount, so I might go with trekking poles.

Not much with 12 bucks, maybe a few over priced gel packs...

Probably a new pair of Asics running shoes and they are so comfortable for hiking.

My Leki Micro Vario Carbon trekking poles arrived today. Just a beautifully engineered piece of gear. Can't wait to try them out this weekend.

I got an Osprey Exos 38. Between the rebate and the coupon I only had to pony up $25. Score!

I pulled the trigger and bought this:

So far, so good. I love it. Screaming deal @ almost $220 off w/ coupon + I used my dividend and got it for even less. I have ridden it on the road, Leif Ericsson drive, Powell Butte trails, etc. It goes ANYWHERE! Now I just have to get more used to the seat. :?

I got this quilt. Slept under it a few nights, some at freezing level-- didn't get cold. Would never have spent the $290 REI wants for it if I didn't have a big rebate, though.
