The public is going to have far less impact from a remote volcano monitoring station than from running a commercial operation leasing land in area that is the nexus of use in spring for those accessing Mt. Adams. Byzantine rules are absolutely something to critique. Perhaps why there's concerted national effort to address 'junk fees', like 'junk rules' - things that negatively impact the public.Thanks for your inquiry. That's astray here but I still think fair to critique, the FS isn't doing a good job here only putting such an announcement on an email distribution list, and there's no excuse why the same wouldn't be posted on their nearly spam-worthy Facebook site.
