I don't know if anyone is aware of this. There's a landslide on Lolo Pass Road.

I was up there about a week before and the gate to the old road is closed so that is not an option.

It appears that McGee Creek is the farthest east TH you can access from Highway 26 and Mazama is the farthest west TH you can access from Hood River. The slide is on 18 (1810) between those two branch roads.
Unfortunate that a slide has taken out one of the better maintained gravel roads in the forest.

Sorry about that, looks like I missed a digit.
Re: Lolo Pass
Does anyone know if Lolo Pass road is still closed?
The FS Alerts page linked earlier in the thread doesn't have any mention of a Lolo Pass closure, and the FS road info page lists Lolo Pass road as open https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/mthood/a ... rdb5191108. It's been a month, seems plausible they've already fixed the road and its back open.
I'll call the ranger district tomorrow for the latest info, unless somebody else has more recent intel.

You know exactly what to do.
There's no need to be afraid.
Keep walking.

Re: Lolo Pass
Seems like I read somewhere that it was open but I can't remember where. Of course, it could also just have been a dream.
