I was really excited...then I opened the link. Not so excited anymore. It seems to be 100% on roads and one section even requires a permit...and it seems to stop short of the coast according to the maps. Did I read the maps incorrectly?

I think the maps are not up to date yet, it does go all the way to the coast. But yeah 80-90% is on gravel roads. The permit is really easy to get, you just have to call Starker Forest office. They don't limit them.
I've been wandering early and late, from New York City to the Golden Gate, and it don't look like I'll ever stop my wandering.
