I thought I'd post an updated list of the current closure maps from the September 2020 fires as we get into the summer 2021 hiking season:

Geez, I didn't even know there'd been a "Thielsen Fire." Looks like the summit trail and the PCT are still open though.
Here's a much more detailed Beachie Creek/Lionshead map that actually shows all of the closed trailheads: https://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DO ... 916196.pdf

I've also tagged all the closed hikes that I know of in the Field Guide, so you can now see a list:
https://www.oregonhikers.org/field_guid ... sed_Trails
These will include closures because of the September 2020 fires/winds, the 2017 Eagle Creek Fire, and Winter 2021 windstorms. Obviously, there are many other trails closed which we don't have in the Field Guide (usually farther away from the Portland area). Also, not all of these trails burned; some are inaccessible because of road closures.
The Bureau of Land Management is particularly opaque about its closures, with links that promise information and then just click back to each other or link to Forest Service maps that don't show BLM areas.
I'm not sure about access to the Bull of the Woods trails. It seems most of the roads leading into Bull of Woods are actually closed (including to Bagby), so while the area's trails are "open", you can't really get in except perhaps via a couple of eastern trailheads. Does anyone have any clarity on which trailheads can be accessed directly?
Edit: O.K., I think I answered my own question. Looks like you can get into all the trailheads in Bull of the Woods via Skyline and back roads if you can put up with such a long drive. FS says Bagby is closed, but not sure that's true since all the other BotW trails are listed as open.

I think the Hot Springs bath houses are now fee-based, so it is possible the Bagby trail is 'open', but the bath houses are considered to be closed because the concessionaire is not in place. Anyway, excellent work, Burnside Bob, in tracking down the closure info across half a dozen web sites and collecting it for easy access.
