Oregon stealth reopening

"Effective today, some state parks, outdoor recreation facilities, and ski areas will reopen"

Oh, did we not mention? Yeah, those are open now. Not saying exactly which areas, just that it's not the gorge or coast.

Looks like you have to keep checking in on individual areas for updates, and for other agencies to catch up and make their decisions. It's more like an announcement that places are allowed to open, though they haven't necessarily done so yet.

I see a possible coordination of Oregon and Washington to open Gorge parks and trails at the same time. This might spread the people out more. I think places like Multnomah Falls are still problematic.

As of yesterday, Cannon Beach and the city/amentities were open. Arcadia Beach (which is a state park) open as usual, and we saw people on Hug Point. It was hard to find definitive information online before the trip.

The coast may be “open”, but the coast told inlanders to stay away before.

We should stay safe. We should stay home.
