I saw your post earlier, but just did the math
I know a guy who's in the process of the Mexico-to-Canada hike, but whenever things get difficult he bails and returns later. Not so much a through hiker, more like a bits and pieces hiker. Nothing wrong with that, but when it comes time to claim the participation trophy, I hope it has a big fat asterisk on it.
