HCRH reopening delayed

New slides delay reopening of Historic Highway

No sooner had I started reading up on plans for the imminent "phased reopening" of the HCRH than news was posted that new slides near Oneonta and Horsetail falls had scrapped those plans.

Not at all sure I'd like it as a permanent feature, but I was looking forward to the chance to walk safely down that road and get a good look at things (not to mention the trails reopening, of course).

For the easily-confused-by-obscure-acronyms, HCRH stands for 'Historic Columbia River Highway'.
