Will be neat for hikers also. The eternal and infernal problem is getting around Shellrock Mtn.

Sounds like one thing they're considering is the re-creation of a new Tunnel of Many Windows through Mitchell Point. The original tunnel was destroyed during the construction of I-84.

The new path definitely open up some new possibilities for hiking loops and provide easier access to Shellrock Mtn, Lindsey Ridge, Harrison Falls, etc.

I'm keen to get back in to photograph some of the abandoned sections of the old Columbia River Hwy before they're reclaimed by this project. To date Nature has been quietly doing her own reclaiming of these areas and the road bed, in places, is completely covered in a layer of moss.
