Oregon Desert Trail Article/Event on 2/4/14

Post by Born2BBrad » February 2nd, 2014, 10:58 am

There is a great article by Terry Richards in the Oregonian today about the Oregon Natural Desert Association (ONDA) and the Oregon Desert Trail (ODT).

I was aware of the association and the trail, but didn't know the association was going to make the trail maps and waypoints available on their website this week.

The ONDA will be having an event this coming Tuesday, February 4th. The event will have a couple of guest speakers talking about the ODT. In addition, the ONDA will share information about the trail maps and waypoints being released on their website.

I couldn't find the link to today's article, but here are some others with related information:

I think this is all pretty exciting, as I have wanted to check out parts of the ODT, especially the Owyhee parts. I would much prefer to have good maps and other information such as waypoints and water sources before heading out there.
Make now always the most precious time. Now will never come again.
