Join the Portland Chapter of the Oregon Nordic Club for a fun day of brushing, pole sawing, and hanging diamonds on Crosstown Trail north side of Government Camp. We may identify a bridge construction worksite on new trail above Crosstown. Meet at Gateway Transit Center in the SE corner of the parking structure, NE 99th Ave. north of NE Pacific Ave., at 8 a.m. to carpool. Forest Service partner: Bruce Thomson. Join the Portland Chapter of the Oregon Nordic Club and the Forest Service crew to help work on the second McClellan Bridge by adding handrails. We will all benefit from this new bridge next winter—our boots will stay dry. Meet at McMenamins Edgefield, 2126 SW Halsey, in the west parking lot at 8 a.m. to carpool. Take I-84 to Exit 16 (Wood Village) turn right, go to Halsey (first stop light) turn left, go 1/2-mile; it’s on the right. Forest Service partner: Dean Robertson.
