Trailwork party in the Dark Divide, Gifford Pinchot NF - July 27th

Post by Ryan Ojerio » July 19th, 2019, 9:50 am

Hello Hikers,

WTA is leading a volunteer trail work party the weekend of July 27th and 28th and we'd love your help! Our objective is to work on the Quartz Creek Butte Trail and clear away brush, fix up drainage features and re-dig the tread where needed. No Experience needed, WTA provides all tools and instruction. Come for one or both days, Saturday features an optional campout/potluck.

For more info and to RSVP, check out:

Here is a map link of the trail: https://caltopo.com/m/79B4 For those not familiar with the area, the Quartz Creek Butte is one of my favorite ways to drop into the Dark Divide and get to some amazing Old Growth.

- Cheers, Ryan
