Recently, the Forest Service conducted a stakeholder survey of nonprofits, tribes, and government agencies about needs for a sustainable trail network in the Columbia Gorge. They will present results of the survey on Thursday, June 27 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Cascade Locks Marine Park Pavilion, 395 SW Portage Rd, Cascade Locks, OR 97014. There will be some time for public comment, but what's most important is that the hiking community shows up for this event and asks (or demands) that it be included in the planning process so it doesn't get steered only by special interests. Registration is required to attend.
