Elk-King's Mountain Loop Trail w/ Mazamas
Saturday, April 9, 8:30 AM-3:30 PM
Join TKO and the Mazamas to help maintain the popular Elk-King's Mountain loop trail. This trail crew will work on tread and trail repair and brushing on the Elk Mountain side of the loop. No experience needed, TKO will provide instruction and tools.
What to bring
Lunch and plenty of water
Rain gear
Work gloves (we’ll provide some if needed)
Boots (tennis shoes are not allowed)
Long sleeve shirt recommended
Be prepared for Oregon spring weather (sun, rain, etc., possibly all at the same time!). Dress in layers and avoid cotton clothing. Eye protection (glasses, sunglasses or safety glasses) is recommended. TKO will supply hard hats, gloves, and safety glasses if needed. This is a fairly steep trail, and we’ll be doing some hiking but not the entire loop.
Directions
Meet at the Elk Creek Trailhead at 8:30 AM. The trailhead is about a 1 hour drive west of Portland on Highway 6. Ride sharing possible.

Re: Volunteer with TKO! Elk-King's Mountain Trail, April 9
This trail crew will now be working on the King's Mountain side of the loop instead of Elk Mountain. Same meeting time, just one trailhead down!
