Eagle Creek (Columbia Gorge) Wildflower ID Hike - Thursday!

Identify and discuss area wildflowers while hiking along Eagle Creek through a vertical rock canyon and between old growth forested benches, on the way to lower canyon waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge.

Date: Thursday, May 7, 2015
Difficulty: Easy-Moderate
Distance: 4.5 miles
Elevation Gain: 600 feet
Leader: Wendell Wood
Location: Eagle Creek, Columbia River Gorge (carpools depart from Portland)

Join Oregon Wild’s Wildlands Interpreter, Wendell Wood for this slow-paced hike to Punchbowl Falls in the dramatic Eagle Creek canyon, sandwiched within the surrounding Columbia Gorge Wilderness.

The emphasis of the trip is wildflower identification & natural history. A detailed plant list with scientific & common names will be provided.
