VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR BRIDGE INSTALLATION

Here's a last minute call for four volunteers with special skills to work with Mary Ellen and AmeriCorps to install the seasonal bridge on the Sandy.If you can make it, please e-mail [email protected] or call (503)579-2841.

Wednesday, June 25

Details:
Meet at Zigzag work center, 8 Am at Mary Ellen's desk.Bring lunch, water, daypack etc.Usual trail crew work clothing.We will all be wading the river once, so if folks don't want their boots wet, bring another pair of foot wear. (We will likely have a couple pairsof hip waders too.) Heavy lifting.

Tasks:
Be safe, have fun, get work done....Install bridge (build sills, move bridge parts 100' or so and install).Construct approaches in and out of the river along with horse ford.Clear out short section of trail north of bridge location.Send a couple folks around the Ramona loop to install a new permit boxand insure the trail can be followed adequately.
